01How to use this planner
Pick the upgrade you are preparing for, then enter the amount of each fuel item currently in your inventory. The result compares your stock with published community cost ranges; it does not claim to predict the in-game fuel bar exactly.
02Why the costs are ranges
Community references disagree sharply about campfire costs. The table below uses one multi-source ladder documented by 99 Nights DB and preserves ranges where that source reports them. Other guides publish incompatible totals, so use the live fire meter as the final authority.
03A practical resource order
- 01Keep the fire alive first; do not spend the last safe-night fuel just to chase an upgrade.
- 02Use logs for early levels when the published budgets are modest.
- 03Save coal and canisters for the middle levels; compare the required amounts with your actual map drops.
- 04For levels 5-6, plan a dedicated stockpile. Community guides identify oil barrels and biofuel as late-run resources.
- 05Confirm the in-game level bar before committing your last rare fuel item.
